Ah yes poems. What do you like about them. Aren't they just fascinating?

Here we can discuss poems and make up our own and post them here. Or we can post other made-poems here. Be sure to include the artist who wrote it!!!

Here's a short one of mine.

"My love for you runs deeper than the depths of the oceans...

Whenever I sense your presence, my heart beats like raging thunder during a storm...

You are the one that gives life to my world, you are my water and sun...

You are everything that keeps my heart in place.

I love you and I will fight to the death to preserve whatever is left of you..."

Not bad, dude. I used to do some writings, not what I'd call poems or songs or what have you. Just expressions.
Haven't written anything in years. I wonder if I still have that notebook...

Nice! No rhyming??? Ah well, Free Verse is cool I used to be pretty good at this. Had to do it for school and I had quite a few poems. Can't find them though.

"Her legs were slim and graceful
Her eyes were sapphires
She was like a thing only found in dreams and miracles
And her body a work of art

She moved like a graceful deer
Hopping from place to place
She never snarled or barked
And never got angry or lost her temper

Her behaviours were a mystery
Only ever showing the surface
Never revealing the gold mine inside
Only presenting the tip of the iceberg"



Meh, it's not very good. I had to do it for an assignment and I didn't really put much thought or feeling into it

Gravemind voice from the Halo series:

"So have begun the end of many lives,

Those in the eyes of my soldiers,

Are now on their way to the path of death,

From here on forth,

We march as one towards our goal,

Devouring and consuming all in our way,

And those offering resistance,

Will be met with the sheer brutality of our forces,

Nothing will stop us,

Not even the champions of your race,

Hope and faith has left your side,

Time is the only thing standing between you and us

But time is running out,

And when it does, you will all meet your last, desperate final moments

While we bathe in Glory and sing victory as we claim your race..."
